A very close friend of mine lost her husband suddenly a few days ago. They met when she was 19. Some might think she was too young to fall in love. Or that she didn't give herself a chance to grow up. Maybe they were right. But, only she knows what her heart felt for him.
They married when she was in her early 20s. They had three children who are now adults. I'd love to say that they had the perfect marriage, but no couple ever has that. What I know for sure is that she married the man she loved. Not everyone is lucky enough to say that.
Finding love is not an easy task. Some look forever and never find one love. Some have many loves. But true love is the kind of love I want, and I think most of you want it too. That's the kind of love they had.
Was she too young to know she was in love? Did she not give herself enough time to grow up and experience life? Only she knows the answers to those questions, but in my opinion she knew. She married her true love, the man who loved her for more than 30 years. They vowed to love each other until death. And that's what they did.
How do we know what true love is? It's the kind of love that never leaves. No matter what, it's always there. It never gives up, and it fights until the bitter end. That's TRUE LOVE.
